2021 AFL Round 15 Betting Tips

AFL Jack Ziebell

A full round of nine matches await us for Round 15 of the 2021 AFL season and we’re pleased to be back to bring you our AFL Round 15 betting tips for another week.

While the Sydney Swans and GWS Giants escape New South Wales and the potential implications of COVID-19 restrictions, fans in Melbourne will be able to attend local matches for the first time since May 23.

The Victorian Government has agreed to a 50% capacity of crowds with a cap of 25,000 people, before an increase to 85 percent capacity next week. That is great news for Victorians who are looking to get back to the footy for Round 15 action this weekend.

The round kicks off on Thursday night with the Brisbane Lions hosting the Geelong Cats at the Gabba in the match of the round. This one will have a finals-like atmosphere with the Cats looking to back up their big win last week against the Dogs. If they can succeed again, they’ll be hunting a top two spot on the ladder.

AFL Round 15 Betting Tips - Lachie Neale

The Lions had a bit of a slog against the Roos last week, but will be much happier back on their home deck in prime time. Superstar Lachie Neale looks to be getting back to his best, and they might have the edge in the midfield with Mitch Duncan missing, and Patrick Dangerfield and Cam Guthrie both recently returning from injury.

The betting market favours the Lions with a -5.5 line and that looks the play.

The best bet of Round 15 surprisingly looks to be the bottom-of-the-ladder Kangaroos against the hapless Gold Coast Suns. The Roos have been super competitive the last two weeks in Hobart against the Giants and the Lions. They enjoy the conditions and play the Blundstone Arena ground well, where it can be a little foreign to teams who aren’t used to arctic chill factors and galeforce winds. Enter the team from the Gold Coast. They were awful last week and they have a horrible track record following the bye in recent seasons. No doubt they have some talented players, but they drop their bundle very easily and judging by their recent performances, they might have thrown in the towel on season 2021.

The Kangaroos are -5.5 favourites and we’ll be smashing that line. Best bet!

Other great bets include a resurgent Collingwood under new interim coach Robert Harvey at the line against Fremantle and GWS to be too strong for the Hawks.
